Never before have I felt so complete as when I sat on the rocks along shore, took in the Olympics at sunset and listened to the waves lap and bubble. Then the whales traveled by first south then northbound. After I thought there could be no more wonder, a bald eagle soared effortlessly by just a few feet away. Thanks!
What a wonderful way to end our three week journey from Denver to Seattle. Two nights was too short a time in this spectacular place but we plan on returning for a longer stay to spend countless hours in the tide pools. Our two daughters will never forget the purple and red starfish, crabs, snails, eels and mud puppies (?). My husband and I will always remember the sheer delight of our children as they encountered the wonders of nature at your doorstep. Thank you for this incredible opportunity.
We felt at home as soon as we arrived and were so grateful for your warmth and graciousness. We look forward to a visit at Windance Cottage in the very near future – we have to come back because we have to meet your orcas.
P.S. 7:30 AM our last morning – just had our first orca sighting. What a great way to end our trip!!

We regularly get homesick for the island on which we’ve never actually lived – now we know the perfect place to stay when that homesick feeling brings us back again! The orcas greeted us our first day, we hiked and kayaked and had one glorious stormy day to really relax and do some reading. We’ve stayed at a B&B for the last time. The comfort and privacy of Windance Cottage put them all to shame.

We traveled from the exact polar opposite corner of the USA to come to your beautiful home. We always say that we live in paradise but I believe we have come to “God’s Country.”
My life long dream was to come and experience the orcas. We were blessed with the parade of L pod – 40 beautiful killer whales on the first early morning while sipping our coffee on the picnic table. Seeing eagles and deer were just the icing on the cake. Arrow made us miss our puppies at home. Hummingbirds greeted us on our patio in the morning. Thanks for a most memorable experience.

Thank you so much for the opportunity of staying in your beautifully built and appointed guest home. Our experiences here will never be forgotten. Everything from Tigger and Arrow and the apple eating deer to your offered friendship made our stay here much more than just a place to sleep between adventures.
Start with perfect weather, whales, foxes, eagles, eels, otters, bunnies, alpacas, kingfishers, egrets, owls, whales, blue herons, whales, starfish, jellyfish and even a camel! Did I mention the whales? Throw in a beautiful sunset and shooing stars and there’s almost nothing to miss. Oh yeah, our flight over your stunning island. What a wonderful gift – okay, absolutely nothing to miss. Expect some photographic gifts in return. Thanks aplenty.
